Clippings and green waste
- Clippings are blown off paths, driveways and gutters back onto the lawn or collected, never into the stormwater drain.
- Green waste is taken away and disposed of properly, not left on site or dumped.
- Where it's good for the lawn, clippings are mulched back in instead of being thrown out.
Fertilisers and weed treatments
- Products are used as their labels direct, at the right rate for the lawn and the season.
- We don't fertilise or treat before heavy rain, so it stays on the lawn instead of washing away.
- Spills are cleaned up straight away and anything on paths is swept back onto the lawn.
Fuel and equipment
- Mowers and trimmers are refuelled carefully, away from drains and garden beds.
- Equipment is kept serviced so it runs cleaner and doesn't leak.
Looking after your lawn
Mowing at the right height and feeding at the right time keeps a lawn thick, which means fewer weeds, less water and fewer treatments down the track.
